28 August · Peveril Drift and Valentine Tanks

 

Peter Cox is planning to do 2 boat dives with Divers Down at Swanage. Booked on the Peveril Drfit and then the Valentine tanks. Will also look at doing a Pier dive after the Valentine tanks

We have booked Divers Down boat at Swanage for a trip out to Durdle Door followed by a drift or what ever we fancy on the way back. The total cost is £45 for both dives. Please note you will need 2 tanks for this trip as we stay out between dives and the boat doesn't have a toilet so blokes off the back and ladies have a bucket option if needed.
No money is required as we pay on the day but I have secured the boat with my credit ...card so they are expecting 12 divers. If you say you are coming that means you will be expected to pay £45 either to Divers Down on the day or to me if you decide not to show. Please understand as soon as you say yes you are coming you are commiting to £45.
You will need to be AOW as a minimum.

We're going on a weeks diving holiday to the Scilly Isles. Would need to travel down to Penzance on Friday 10th June to be able to catch the Ferry first thing Saturday morning. Arrive and get sorted for 6 days boat diving starting on Sunday (2 dives a day). Last days diving is Friday 17th then catch Ferry back to Penzance on Saturday 18th June.
Total cost is £594 which covers S/C accommodation on the Scilly Isles, b...oat diving, air and Ferry to Scilly Isles. You'll need to cover the night in Penzance at the start and at the end if you don't drive straight home as well as car parking for the week (cars don't go to the Island).
Only 1 space left. A £100 deposit is required to secure your place and then at the end of September a further £95 to £100 (depending if prices have gone up) to pay for Ferry.

PLYMOUTH 2011 - August 5th, 6th, 7th 8th. We are returning to the fabulous Mountbatten Guest House and Mount Batten Dive Charter to spend three days diving the waters around Plymouth this trip will include HMS Scylla, James Egan Layne and hopefully the Persier.  Scylla Reef is the wreck of F71 HMS Scylla, a Leander-class frigate that served in the Royal Navy between 1970 and December 2003. During her commission she performed a variety of roles, from patrols in Icelandic waters during the second and third 'Cod Wars' to royal escort duties for the Queen's Silver Jubilee. She also provided humanitarian relief in the Cayman Islands during 1980 when hurricanes threatened the lives of many of the inhabitants, before being modified to have Exocet and SeaWolf missile launchers fitted. After being decommissioned, she was bought by the National Marine Aquarium and sunk on the 27th of March 2004 in Whitsand bay near Plymouth, where she now lies creating an artificial reef for divers, the first of its kind in Europe.

We are planning to travel down on the 4th August and dive 5th, 6th and 7th.

 

The cost for this trip is £260.00 if returning Monday or £235.00 if returning Sunday night
